Dieting and Life-changing decisions.

Every decision in life is as difficult as dieting when you are a complete foodie.

You take 1 step towards fitness by controlling the urge for sweets and oily food. And there comes a day, a bad one, when you steal a chocolate from the kitchen and bite-in.

The spirit of a single step is killed by munching on that chocolate and ending up 100 steps backward again.Likewise every decision in life is about standing by it. Mere declaration does not help.

Like dieting, if you decide on doing something, inform your closest friends, because Friends never forget to remind things.. especially if they are for our good. Follow the 21-day philosophy. If you can stick to it for 21 days, you can carry it forward without much discomfort.

So next time, you want to kick that habit of chewing your nails or eating that little extra bit of cake or leave some people behind who cause you pain. Make sure you follow the DIET-approach there too. It always helps.

If nothing helps, shop for new heels :)

Instant Moving-on Mix

Have a friend who is trying to get out of a bitter break-up and not able to move on?

I do.

One of the mature ones in our gal gang came up with this for her : Every time you pick up the phone to dial THAT number or text a lame "Are you OK?". Ask yourself, "Do you want to go back to that dark pit again? Do you want to go through pain in a cyclic fashion? Do you want to feel sorry for yourself again?"... If the answer is NO, you know what NOT to do. Just grab a chocolate, bite-in and get over it.

I stole this advice to put it to personal use, in future.

Aren't girlfriends wonderful? They make everything look so simple and easy.

Post-its!

30 is an interesting number when you are a woman. Things I learnt while I grew up to be a thirty-year old child are too many Post-its and diary entries. Here are some of my favs from them :

  •  Nothing compared to your family. They love you when you are at your worst. You are always a  superstar to them.
  •  Health is a privilege, a luxury that is taken for granted most of the times.
  •  Friends always tell you the truth, you like it or not. Those who don't, are not friends.
  •  Enemies and Failures, are two important foundations for a humble and successful you.
  •  Lessons are always hard, how else would you remember them then?
  •  Forgive people. Most of them are foolish enough to understand their follies.
  •  Self-respect is more important than any other virtue in life.
  •  Live every moment, no matter how cheesy it comes across, Live Every Fucking Moment because what goes around rarely comes around with same intensity.
  • Life is a sinusoidal wave. After every pitfall comes a huge uprising. Never lose heart.
  • God is a good manager. He plans well. Let him take care of all the planning. Do what you are supposed to do or else watch.
  • Learn something new every day.
  • Read...Even a sleazy novel makes you learn something. If you know, what I mean.
  • Embrace music.
  • Crack jokes, Laugh at some. Always keep the sense of humor alive. The day it dies, you do.
  • Girlfriends are important. You need no therapist when you have your gals around you.
  • Indulge yourself in food, drinks, love, friendship, music, movies and sinful delicacies. There is just one life.
  • You don't need to be a super-woman. You already are, if you manage to go through life with a smile on your face with ocassional frowns.
  • Kids are wonderful and so are dogs. I might be shot down for comparing kids and dogs, but both define unconditional love, so be it.
  • Expressions and Emotions don't make you fragile. They make you a beautiful woman that you are.
  • Loving yourself is liberating.
  • Life is never short of lessons.
will update when I learn some more....

A Why-dnesday

10:00 AM - Why do I have to even wake up in the morning? Sex or no sex, life is good in bed.

10:15 AM - Why do I have to brush my teeth? Why did not the teeth come with a self-cleaning mechanism?

10: 30 AM - Why do I need breakfast when it needs 45 mins in the gym to burn it all down?

10:45 AM - Why the hell do I need to cook my own breakfast? Why can't I employ a cook?

11:00 AM - Why did I put so much salt in the Sandwich? Why God Why?

11:20 AM - Why did not the boss reply to my rebellious emails?

11:35 AM - Why do I have a pimple on my right cheek now? Oh! Why did I scratch it now? Blood.

12:00 PM - Why did not the guy call till now? No sense of time. No sense of time.

1:30 PM - Why am I still yawning at my desk when I have to kick those heels?

1:37 PM - Why am I blogging about this?

1:38 PM - Why? Lunch? Why?

Who is 'The Girl with broken heels'?

Ideally, I should start this blog with "Hello Readers" in a completely self-obsessed manner. But, I will take a humble route and talk about 'The Girl with broken heels'.

This blog is a compilation of some 'Growing up' moments, 'Stooping low' moments and some 'Rise and Shine' moments. Like everyone in this overly populated world, I have an opinion on almost everything. From heels to wheels, from politics to cinema, from distinctive arts to hopeless hearts and the mundane blah blah.

I may sometime come across as a sympathy-seeker, sometimes as a selfish little gal who did all that she could to make a place for herself in this big-mean world and sometimes a child planning a mischief and at times, just another YOU.

All in all, I am just another Girl with broken heels, who smiles at you while she stumbles her way through life.

Why blog? - Errrrr, because nobody listens in the offline world these days.

Images on this blog are obtained after extensive search on Google. Blame it on Chronic Laziness.
